Our Aims & Objectives

Guiding our efforts to create meaningful change

  • To improve on the health-HIV/AIDS and nutritional standards of communities.
  • To develop and improve the social economic conditions of the communities.
  • To raise environmental and Human Right awareness among the communities.
  • To improve the household incomes of the most impoverished homesteads.
  • To advocate moral and social responsibility within communities and gender balance.
  • To support the orphans, abandoned and needy children in education.
  • To promote sustainability, cost-effectiveness and accountability of supported activities.

Our Achievements

Making a tangible difference in communities

Staffing

A total number of 9 people were enrolled to work as volunteers for MWIFO Uganda and they have happily taken on their roles and responsibilities honorably.

Mobilization & Savings

Mobilized communities into forming local groups for ownership of community issues, providing professional advice and financial assistance. Strengthened Village Saving and Loans Associations (VSLAs).

Vocational Training

Enrolled 57 students in various courses including Tailoring, Hairdressing, Computer training, and Catering.

Health Initiatives

Launched a community project to construct an HIV/AIDS clinic with a commercial pharmacy. Established a voluntary counseling and testing (VCT) centre for HIV/AIDS at our offices.

Orphan Support

Registered and sponsored 60 Orphans, abandoned and needy children in the district of Mukono.

Infrastructure Development

Managed to get land for some centres to construct schools, clinics, recreation halls and vocational institutions.

Organizational Challenges
  • Lack of seed money to effectively fund-raise and secure adequate funds for prompt program implementation.
  • Inadequate funds leading to understaffing and insufficient logistics for the Programme Implementation Team.
Our Future Plans
  • Access the services of technical persons as volunteers for institutional capacity building.
  • Develop a fundraising strategy for local and external opportunities to ensure consistent funding.
  • Enter into networks with national and international agencies for experience and resource sharing.
  • Partner with and implement government-funded projects at district levels for community benefit.
  • Conduct capacity building trainings for grassroots partners to effectively manage development projects.
