Empowering Communities, Transforming Lives
The Middle Wing Foundation Uganda (MWIFO Uganda) is a Ugandan registered Private Voluntary organization with a visionary program of empowering members of the Ugandan society to fight ill health and poverty through integrated community-based sustainable development programmes. The activities of this organisation were initiated as far back as 2022; the organization was registered under the Non-Governmental organizations registration statute (2023) as a Non-governmental organization.

MWIFO Uganda’s activities cover the districts of Kampala, Mukono, Wakiso, Mubende, and Mityana. The projects in these districts link the centers to the head office in Wakiso. We work with various establishments, which include churches, schools, organized groups in the communities, youth and women groups etc.
At MWIFO Uganda, we very much believe that greater community engagement, participation and improved ability to access and analyze their situation, and take informed decisions and actions for a sustainable development better environment, especially for youth, women and children is central to the success of development work. By strengthening the capacity of community members to plan, manage and coordinate the mobilization, allocation and use of their own resources, we believe that our programmes have real sustainability.
Management Structure
Our dedicated team and governance
MWIFO Uganda is managed by a team of 4 members who make up The Board Executive Committee, which is the supreme decision making organ. This committee appoints the Board of Directors who are Associate members and bring their expertise and technical knowledge to guide in programming and policy issues.
The Directors work closely with the Board Executive Committee and more especially with the Programme Implementation Team. This team consists of the day-to-day technical manpower charged with administration and implementation of MWIFO Uganda’s programmes and activities.
